Congressman Ciscomani is one of the most effective members of the House of Representatives, according to the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking .
It ranked Ciscomani as the 15th most effective lawmaker nationally, third most effective among freshman lawmakers and most effective member of Arizona’s congressional delegation.
According to CEL, Ciscomani introduced 24 pieces of substantive legislation. Six of Ciscomani’s bills passed the House and two bills were signed into law. Most effective issues related to defense, budget, energy, public safety and border security.

In his March 4 newsletter article, Ciscomani met with the House Speaker/Leadership multiple times to express his belief that programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, and Pell grants should not be slashed. Feb. 26 newsletter he introduced Ensuring Access to Medicaid Buy-In Program Act (H.R. 1598).
