Over 100 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day participating in the SaddleBrooke Rotary Club’s 25th annual charity golf tournament at MountainView Country Club on Monday, April 21. The tournament is SaddleBrooke Rotary’s primary fundraiser, and the golfers and sponsors raised over $40,000 in net proceeds.
The Best Ball Scramble format was won with a team score of 57 by Mike Haney, Grant Haney, Matt Rippy, and Jim Rodine. Other awards were awarded to Closest to the Pin winners Kenlon Johnson, Grant Haney and Jan Kreis; Longest Men’s Drive to Keenan Holt, Longest Women’s Drive to Deanna McKinney, and Straightest Drive to Steve English.
The golfers were treated to a lunch beforehand and an Italian buffet dinner afterwards during the awards ceremony. Major sponsors provide a substantial portion of the proceeds, and they include Co-Sponsor Arizona Hearing Specialists, Metro Medical Billing, Morris-Hall Trust, Lisa Bayless from Long Realty, Pride Mechanical and Vistoso Funeral Home. The SaddleBrooke Rotary Club is grateful for the support of these and the other sponsors.
