Trump's hourlong diatribe to proclaim Liberation Day was full of many of his repeated lies, distortions and fabrications. For starters he declared another emergency that does not exist to justify executive actions. Second, he claimed tariffs were reciprocal, when in fact no can determine how the tariffs were determined. Only a few of his puppets purport to support his actions, all of which are multimillionaire. the worst are Lutnick and Bessent. Cnadian and European leaders have termed it the most senseless and stupid policy ever. That idea is backed by countless others like Australia and New Zealand. Not to mention the reaction of the investment world. And for what is the question. Near as one can tell, it appears to be done to satisfy the ego of one man who does not seem to care about anyone else.
