Froma Harrop’s take on Alexandrea Cortez, feels more like something that belongs in a gossip rag, than the opinion pages. She makes it sound like AOC is getting rich off the taxpayers dime.
I would guess that $175 thou a year doesn’t go that far supporting a DC residence,as well as a distric home. Then take into account AOC doesn’t take in Super PAC money, corporate bribes, or use insider trading to build a portfolio as most corporate dems and republicans do.
I wonder if Froma, is just jealous or has to gossip like some old hen. She sure had a long walk getting to the punch line.
Too bad the paper wasted space that could have talked about, 40 trillion in national debt, how we are stuck with the most corrupt administration in 250 years. Or our drying planet, facing food insecurity and extreme weather events.
