Aircraft carrier, Abraham Lincoln, with 5000 sailors on board has been at sea for 250 consecutive days. This is a new record for deployment. The usual number of days is 30-45.
Angry families have met with Navy officials, demanding something be done about the lack of food, health and sanitary essentials and extremely low morale. There were similar reports in April that Pete Kegseth dismissed as “fake news.” Now it’s worse.
There are reports that sailors have actually jumped overboard. The Navy responded by basically saying that the sailors are lying and everything is just fine.
When asked if the ship was deployed too long, Trump responded with, “Not nearly long enough.” This, said the man who promised to keep us out of foreign wars.
The Navy officials probably wrote their response while dining on some of that $7 million worth of lobster or $15 million of ribeye steak bought last fall, while Abe Lincoln sailors eat rice and tortillas.
