Pima Community College is sponsoring a free Holocaust lecture series.
"Oftentime, people don't understand how complex the Holocaust was," said Jan-Ruth Mills, an adjunct history professor at PCC. She has been teaching the history of the Holocaust for five years at PCC and said she wanted to offer experiences outside the classroom for students and others.
There are four planned lectures.
• Rabbi Robert Eisen will deliver "What is Judaism?" at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 3 at Congregation Anshei Israel, 5550 E. Fifth St.
• David Graizbord, an associate Judaic studies professor at the University of Arizona, will discuss Zionism at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 24 at PCC's Northwest Campus, 7600 N. Shannon Road, room A-207.
• Sidney Finkel, a concentration-camp survivor and author, will talk about his memoirs at 6:15 p.m. Nov. 14, also at the PCC location.
