Age: 15
Parents' names: Bob and Judy Logan
Favorite classes: Newspaper and Latin.
"I really like writing, especially sports," Sean said. To explain his affection for Latin, he said: "It's amazing how almost every word in our language is rooted in Latin and Greek."
Activities in school: Sean is in Homeroom Senate, which manages school activities for the classroom. As the senator, he helped with a food drive earlier in the school year that benefited Casa Maria, which helps the needy and homeless.
"It's absolutely breathtaking to see the reaction of people there," Sean said.
He also is on the school's football and baseball teams and is a member of the Ping Pong Club. He co-founded the College Athletics Club, which meets once or twice a week to follow college football games, too.

Activities outside of school: Sean volunteers with the Foundation for Animals In Risk, a no-kill animal rescue organization. He also participated in the Greater Tucson Youth Leadership Program last summer.
"It's a really great program. You just learn about how to be a good leader," he said.
Whom would you have lunch with if you could have lunch with anyone? Probably Ara Parseghian or Lou Holtz. Sean is a huge fan of the two highly successful college football coaches. His father's admiration for the football program at the University of Notre Dame, where Parseghian and Holtz both coached, rubbed off on Sean early, the teen said. He and his dad visited the university in 2005. "We actually got to go in the locker room and the stadium . . . it was unbelievable."
What books are you reading now? "The Odyssey," "Oedipus" and "Antigone."
Whom do you admire most? Sean admires his family, friends, teachers, and coaches.
"They are the biggest influences on my life," he said.
What's your favorite song? "What I Got" by Sublime.
Plans after high school: Attend the University of Notre Dame and play football there.
Dream job: Professional athlete.
Dream car: Anything that looks cool and goes fast. "Anything that runs is good for me," Sean said.
Favorite place in Tucson: Either the Salpointe weight room or Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches, which is a five-minute walk from his house and where he hangs out with friends.
Hidden talents: Creative writing, sports journalism and photography. "If I have an interest in it, I can write a good story," the teen said. Because he has played sports since elementary school, writing about them comes naturally to Sean the sports editor for The Crusader, Salpointe's student newspaper.
Vouch: "He's a very gifted writer," said his father, pointing out Sean's position on the newspaper. "For him to get this as a freshman is pretty incredible, in my opinion."
