Arizona’s wildlife is a public trust of 95% non-hunters and consider trophy hunting vanity thrill-killing as do many ethical hunters of common game for consumption.
Hunting wildlife with hounds that chase prey to exhaustion, viciously attack and tear apart if not treed is especially gruesome and inhumane form of entertainment.
The hound hunting groups deploy the same playbook as all voracious and competitive trophy hunting clubs, hysterically asserting banning such carnage will soon eliminate all hunting.
Arizona Game and Fish (AZGF) is historically an extension of Safari Club International (SCI) previously headquartered in Tucson’s International Wildlife Museum. SCI uses their lobby power to eliminate protections of depleted species and reverse anti-cruelty bans to fuel macabre trophy hunting competitions killing 320 species for top honors while masquerading as conservationist and sacrosanct tradition.

Maybe this time, AZGF can depart from its history of managing wildlife on behalf of a narrow special interest and in favor of wildlife with respect.
