Pima County is taking applications to fill the upcoming vacancy for treasurer.
The Board of Supervisors approved the process at their Tuesday meeting to replace Beth Ford, the current treasurer who announced her resignation last week.
Ford’s final day will be April 12.
Her term was set to end Jan. 1, 2025.
The county is accepting applications until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 29. A replacement will then be named at the supervisors’ meeting on April 16.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a county resident. They must be a registered Republican (as is Ford) and provide the following: a letter of interest, a resumé, a completed financial disclosure statement and a conflict of interest form to the Clerk of the Board.
