Letter: A billionaire's dream

Do you make over $320,000 a year? If you don’t, Trump’s proposed $4.5 trillion in tax cuts will have minimal to negligible benefit to you. Half of that $4.5 trillion goes to the 5% of Americans making over $320K a year and the remaining half is doled out to the rest of us. Further, a full 30% of the tax break will line the pockets of the wealthiest 1% of Americans making over 743K a year. This bill will destroy the progressive graduated income tax system that built the middle class that truly makes America great and is being funded with a (projected) $6 trillion increase in the national deficit. 13% of our federal budget already goes to paying interest on the deficit. Carrying that amount of debt is already non-sustainable, adding to it so the richest get richer is nothing short of madness.
