Rex Scott has represented my family and those in District 1 with integrity, intelligence and real concern for the welfare of his constituents.
As a teacher, I was part of the education community when Rex was a public school administrator. He supported the students and faculty as well as handling the duties of a principal with skill and confidence. He brought all these strong leadership traits to the Board of Supervisors.
I was aghast and disgusted when road signs started popping up with outright lies and slimy innuendos. Rex Scott's opponent, Steve Spain, is no doubt hoping that voters won't do their homework to discover that the signs are false and misleading. State statute (ARS 42-17151) prohibits counties from adopting budgets with deficits. Pima county has never failed to comply with that statute. Someone who lies to garner votes can never be trusted to represent with integrity.
