Arizona landed its highest-rated recruit on Tuesday, when four-star wide receiver Ty Johnson committed to the Wildcats.
Johnson is the third wide receiver in Arizona's 2027 recruiting class, joining three-star wide receiver Braylen Ross — Johnson's teammate at Crean Lutheran in Irvine, California — and Phoenix-area standout Trey Smith.

The 6-2, 205-pound Johnson also considered Kentucky and has offers from Georgia, Oregon, UCLA, Texas Tech and Washington, among others. As a junior at Crean Lutheran, Johnson had 25 catches for 436 yards and nine touchdowns.
Johnson took an official visit to the UA this past weekend, along with Crean Lutheran teammates in Ross, three-star quarterback Caden Jones and three-star cornerback Evan Mack.
Six Crean Lutheran seniors have offers from Arizona. In addition to the aforementioned quartet, Crean Lutheran cornerback Jacob Whitehead and linebacker Ahmeer Williamson also have offers from the UA.

It's conceivable for Arizona to land most of the Crean Lutheran teammates — similar shades of the Wildcats' program-shifting 2022 recruiting class that had quarterback Noah Fifita, wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, linebacker Jacob Manu and tight end Keyan Burnett from Servite High School in Anaheim, California.
Arizona also has three players from Houston's Westfield High School committed to its 2027 recruiting class: three-star linebacker Davon Smith, cornerback Jaylen Oliver and defensive lineman Logan Draper.
Wildcats add JuCo O-Lineman
Arizona added its first junior college prospect and offensive lineman for 2027.
Snow College (Utah) offensive lineman James Aloisio committed to the Wildcats after taking an official visit to the UA last week.
Aloisio is the first offensive lineman in Arizona's 2027 recruiting class.
The 6-4, 305-pound Aloisio, who played at Timpview High School in Provo, Utah, started his collegiate career at Utah State in 2022. Aloisio is expected to join the Wildcats in the spring.
Arizona has 14 players committed for 2027.
